Rose in the Ash

A rose grew in the ashes
In the middle of a war
Not a soul noticed it
And the guns continued to roar
And man keep killing
They destroyed everything
And more ash came
But the rose still stayed
Tanks made smog
It blocked out the sun
The rose began to die
But it tried to live on
But its efforts failed it
And the very next day
The rose died in the ashes
And no one knew it happened
The war end that day
And the white flag was raised
The ashes went away
But the roses never came
