Do What You Want
I have invested my whole self into you. Countless of hours of my time and space.
Just to make sure you'd end up even the slightest bit okay.
But my truth, my words, and my investments into you get thrown away.
And for what?
Countless of nights to drown yourself into an escape?
For a day of not feeling anything?
I thought I was the one who was better than the drunken thoughts?
I thought I was the one who could save.
So now, we're sitting here.
Both suffering the consequences of your "I-don't-cares",
Letting distance play with our minds
and bring out the worst of us.
All I want is someone to put their whole into me...
While I do the same for them.
Because while I'm too busy saving you,
I'm starting to lose myself.
