He drinks to erase the boy his mother resents.
To laugh so hard his stomach hurts.
To undress a girl he can barely speak to when he’s sober.
He drinks and he drinks and he drinks,
because he’s no one when he doesnt.

The author's comments:
I wrote this after I realized the boy I like only called me when he was drunk. The first line that appeared in my head was," He calls me when he's drunk because he can't stand me when he's sober". After editing and re-editing this was the final piece.
