Striking Shadows
Thou knowest not how the sun rises up,
Nor how it shines through the mountains’ body,
Yet cast shadows through it clearly,
And brighten the beauty create,
I know not, of course, how the sun plays now,
Lost again, shadows, alone, why they break,
I know not how they move, or what they make,
But lose all intellect, break what they sound.
Just as I bring, dos’t thou bring love as well?
Or thy hate overcome shallow abyss?
It became love with me plainly,
The trees’ shade abirritate me,
Thy breath brought forth life and came upon me,
Though I fear such my own torn entity,
Allow me to breathe as you breathe again,
Take thy hand and strike twice the snakes weak head.
