Tears
Tears piercing from my eyes
I put my headphones in and put my music on shutting out the world
He was the one… or at least I hoped he was
How could my eyes deceive my heart?
Never noticing the lies and the suspicious moments he had
Never asked why he didn’t want her to talk to his friends
Never stopped to ask him why he lied
“I love you” has lost its meaning
When you love someone you are devoted to them
Was he ashamed?
Was he desperate to impress his “friends”?
No understanding of what he wanted
So in the end all that happens is I end up broken hearted
My heart and I need a break
If he wants a Hispanic, s*** that will sleep with him he asked the wrong girl
I have respect for myself and I’m not standing for the lies and cheating
So I plug in my headphones and shut out the world
Cry myself to sleep
With the tears piercing from my eyes
