Vigilance
In the ocean of corruption, the smiles fade.
The waves of disapproval
Clashes upwards on the boulders of hatred.
Please,
Detach me if, I’m clawing at anything familiar
This new harsh reality slaps me of the face
And leaves me there to drown
Under the waves of discontent
Transparency, to be unseen
Yet vigilance, to live through this carefully.
Like a sculptor with a chisel,
Working around the hitches
Carefully figuring out how to carve happiness;
The inevitable question of life.
