Untitled
A new day dawns
Pink hues stretch across the sky
Fading to orange then to gold
Slowly stretching limbs
Within the warm but suffocating cocoon
Let the cocoon envelop you
And drag you down into the depths of unconscious bliss
But beware, for when you wake the world is unforgiving
Stripping away everything you thought was kind and precious
Stepping into such a realm
Invited by the deceitful beauty of sparkling white
The cold tendrils snake up your body
To bite your cheeks and the tip of your nose
As the poison seeps through you, all sensations are numbed
Forcing your eyes to see past the beauty
The frozen limbs of trees, once so pristine, now appear cracked and lifeless
The songs of morning fades and you realize that you are truly alone
In this desolate icy reality
You pray for the pits of Hell
