Only you can hurt me with want.
I want you to date me; I want you right here,
However, you’re across the U.S. from me.
Mark, I miss you, down in San Francisco.
I cried for you, for there is no replacement.
You’re a proponent of me, but I don’t want to leave you.
Worked up, I provided some thought of relief;
Take me home, take me there, take me down to your state.
But it becomes clear as weeks become years,
You don’t plan to change your address to Wisconsin.
