Generation Now
Crack baby
strung on the idea that the world is all good
turn up your radio, windows down, & listen
hear what you want, not what I say
cause who am I and who are you
and if they're in charge that's all we need to know
so keep on smiling
prick your skin and inject their dreams
buy into their satellite stations
their sitcoms
the young boys & girls who get paid to act like who they aren't even are
but what they've convinced you to be
this American sunset
buy into Times Square
the statue of liberty-
and the liberty to what?
to slice up your newspaper
roll it, stick it between your teeth
light a match and watch the words burn
then speak your own
