Sailing through the years, getting through all the tears
Finding who we are and then falling apart,
Striving for the best, but not always getting to success
We are the new kids, not only on the block, but on the planet
Together we will make a bond and survive this
We go through our lives and live carless, wild and free,
Because, we are teens.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this piece because of the new generation we teens live in right now. Alot of us are misunderstood and still have a lot of growing up to do and this writing helps explain the life of a teenager.
