I walk Away
February 20, 2014
I walk away
and my heart clenches
with this aching feeling.
What if this is a mistake?
I throw my gaze back
over my shoulder
and see him,
on his knees, in a pathetic
sobbing heap.
I turn around and
I walk away.
The pain he feels is nothing
compared to what he did to me.
I stomp on his heart as
I walk away.
I don’t give a damn
about his tears,
he made me live through
my greatest fears.
He screams my name,
trying to reconcile,
I pretend not to hear and
I walk away.
“Please, Baby. Please Stay.”
No,
I ignore his plea and
I walk away.
