What God,
if there even is a God,
would damn these innocent hearts?
Our Utopia has fallen apart,
and kindness, hope, and love
have all been outlawed.
Is it so wrong, to seek answers from above?
If there was this pristine flawless being,
why do we live these empty lives
never truly seeing?
We’ve trapped ourselves with pathetic desires
and all are doomed to suffer in Hell’s fire,
We could save ourselves, but nobody ever tries,
We’re expendable swine, fed nothing but lies.
What’s the point in believing
that we’re promised something more?
Destruction is all we know.
The world was built by sin
but we’ll never admit
that the darkness around us
comes from within.
So tell me,
What God,
since there is God,
can save us now?
