I'll Follow You
I'll follow you
to the edge of the earth,
there and back again a hundred, a thousand, a million times over until my feet are nothing but blood and blisters, until sweat melts out of every pore, and ash and dirt cover my skin.
I'll follow you
to the bottom of an abyss.
I'll fall with you for hours, for days, for months
until you find it.
I'll follow you into every crevice, every cave, every unexplored adventure on this earth until my weary eyes and crippled body can take no more.
I'll follow you
down to your deepest depths,
down to your darkest pits so that my shoulders are drenched with tears and my mouth with reassurance and my eyes compassion.
I will follow you.
If you follow me.
Follow me
to the edge of the earth and the deepest abyss and my darkest pits. Ride along with me past the discord that prevents the sun from setting.
Follow me to heaven or to hell, to night or to day.
Follow me.
I'll follow you.
We'll follow each other.
