The Dark
I sit in the street late at night
Under the moon shining not so bright;
Alone with my thoughts spinning in my head
Towards the darkness I am being lead;
By angels whose wings are secretly black
I feel myself slipping and giving slack;
They call and they scream out to me
For help and a way for them to flee;
Just as they dig in their sleek dark claws
I feel their laughter at all of my flaws;
Then I let myself be carried away
To the land of the dead, where most are astray
