Purple Flowers

They remind me of a bright blue sky
Sitting outside and enjoying the heat
Children laugh in the distance as they race around the yard
A dog barks
More laughter
So much happiness
Everyone is at piece
Except one family
As they gather near a tomb
"Beloved Son" the tombstone reads
The Lilly's are in full bloom
All those happy memories
Are running through their heads
His mother gives him purple flowers
As he is laid down to rest
