From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine the lives being shared,
The good and the bad,
The happy and the sad.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine an African Safari
With monkeys and lions,
Or the Amazon River,
With exotic fish and strange plants in this strange world.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine unicorns flying through air,
Leprechauns bathing in gold,
And fairies dancing about.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can dive to the bottom of the deep blue sea,
Maybe meet a whale,
And drink some very salty tea.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine it is just me,
Travelling the world,
Visiting every place there is to see.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine a world without misery,
A world painted with smiles,
Where only joyful laughter can be heard,
A world with nothing but peace,
A world that is beautiful and true.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can see the stars in the sky,
The planets around us,
And the souls above our universe.

From a world beyond my corner,
I can imagine the foreign lands that are far, far away,
My imagination can mould the world like clay,
And when the darkness begins to flee,
The world returns to my mind,
Exactly where it needs to be.

The author's comments:
I saw a picture (drawn by hand, I think, my teacher showed it to the class, so I'm not sure) of a view of the beach and the ocean from a window. I thought, if there is a person looking from this window, they are seeing the beauty and serenity from their own little corner of the world.
