Hara-Kiri
I saw you today
where you left me last
and I know that
you saw me too
and I felt it again
all the pain and despair
that I felt when you
said we were through
since then I’ve grown old
among hard hostile faces
girl after girl
play after play
and my love is exploited
for frigid embraces
that’s why it hurt
when I saw you today
your eyes were both darkness
and beauty
and rung bells of some lost
olden day
and I longed for your kiss
and I longed your body
oh Lord how it hurt
when I saw you today
perhaps
soon
you’ll hear that I fell
and you’ll wonder how
that can be true
then remember my dearest
you saw me today
and know in your heart
that I saw you too
