The Stormy Night

Dark cold room
Big loud boom
wind full of whispers
Bright crackling light
filling the room so bright
children hiding under their covers
or cuddling with their mothers
storm rolls by
the children start to cry
the wind howling loud
rain pouring from the clouds
there is a sudden silence
the trees stop shaking
the thunder stops breaking
there is absolutely no sound
children and mothers lying on the ground
sirens begin to scream loud
the dark and stormy night, unfortunately won the fight.
