I am not brave
I smile and I wave
I do not do what I crave
to expectations I am a slave

I am not spoken
like a tree so stiff , I'm oaken
a nod is my single token
my lips are sealed and broken

I am not good
always done as I should
I've only done what I could
to go beyond, never would

I am not wise
my thoughts always in disguise
doesn't matter, don't get a prize
never heard the cries

I am not kind
always alone, never mind
no one around, you can't find
to others I am blind

I am not honest
I pretend to be modest
caught up in a forest
trying to become flawless

I am not beautiful
my face doesn't prove youthful
my complexion unsuitable
expressions never truthful

I am not a coward.
I am not quiet.
I am not bad.
I am not dumb.
I am not mean.
I am not a liar.
I am not ugly.

I am I

The most interesting reflection of myself is the one I see when I close my eyes.
