Only In the Country
The air was melancholy, harrowing to breathe
The dirt from which the corn grew was eroded from footprints
Of people who had stolen the ears of corn
To have for their evening meal, along with weak tea
Most of the people from there looked like stalks of corn
Tall and diaphanous
You could only find this sight
In the country
