A Journey Without You
Once upon a time,
In a faraway land,
I knew where to
Find you.
I knew the sound of your voice
I could recognize the pathways
In your palms.
I could walk
Along next to you
And already know
Where you were going.
Then the wind blew a
Different way.
And the sun disappeared
Behind a different hill
And you were gone.
But I chased your footprints
Because that is all that I had
And I listened for your voice
Because that is all I could hear
And I ran
Alone.
