Who knew a mind so innocent,
Could turn into thoughts of a devil.
Who knew a laugh so natural,
Could become such a struggle to release.
Who knew a smile so real,
Could turn into a crooked forced scene of teeth.
Who knew a heart so pure,
Could change into a sea of hatred.
Who knew a cry so rare,
Could turn into something so daily.
Who knew a child,
Could become nothing more than a scarred silhouette of emptiness.
