Deja Vu
I've seen you before,
I remember your face.
Every shadow and contour,
Lighting up with easy grace.
I know what this is,
And so do you.
Your eyes tell the story
Of deja vu.
We once must have smiled.
We once must have laughed.
But then again, I could be quite daft.
I look forward to the time
When you agree to be mine--
Assuming you remember me too.
I can't recall when
We met-- then again,
Who is to say that we did?
So I'll take your hand,
And we'll walk through the sand.
Never shaking the feeling that I knew you.
