What can be more simple than black against white?
A zebra, a penguin, a newspaper, a poem,
A black and white photo
Of a pale girl with dark hair
And black contrasting with the white of her eyes.
She sits on a stool, in a café, all alone.
The flash of the camera makes her gaunt cheeks glow.
Theres no denying the sparkle in her smile.
The people stream by, fuzzy, uncaring.
Her delicate fingers release the cold button.
I guess she took a pretty good selfie.
