Dear My Love
Dear my love,
I didn’t know what love was until you came into my life.
Our love is never to grow short of
its something that’s never to be ran out of.
Thanks for make a difference
by making an entrance
into my life
taking the time to show me the wrongs in what I thought was right
for taking the time to make me shine
like I never have before,
but it was exactly what I was waiting for,
you’re the open door I was searching for
when I closed that last door,
wasn’t sure who or what was in store,
but there you were
one that was there for me to adore.
Dear my love,
I admit I was first awestruck,
I tended to have the bad luck,
of getting knocked down
by L. O. V. E., and getting stuck
in a heartbreak from heartache,
yes the risk I had to take to trust you
I promised I wouldn’t take risks again
but my story had a twist,
you were a different feeling,
had me up that night staring at the ceiling
thinking about that one gentle kiss.
you are so gentle with my heart,
you brought it back from being apart
now its opposite from a part
it’s a whole,
you fixed that hole in heart.
Don’t you know, it was you when I began to start
believing again, seeing again, falling in love again
and having more than enough faith in us to write,
Dear my love.
