The Dark
Everyone has some fear of it.
When the light that was lit,
Goes out suddenly,
We're scared of subtlety.
It's not of people that we fear,
But the voices that we may hear.
Ones of ghosts,
And creatures with great boasts
Of their latest haunting.
These monsters, taunting,
Call you out to of hiding,
The voice inside your head is chiding,
Telling you to go to bed.
As you fill with more dread,
You get a chill down your spine.
You start to hear sounds you can't define,
An endless refrain,
That causes your ears pain.
You make a run to get safe,
But that won't be the case.
