The Sleepless Box
I am a computer
Square box rested upon a surface
Filled with inner organs that control different operations
I can see what is in front of me.
It’s a boy
He’s getting ready to play games
Oh wait, never mind
He is doing his research project
Well my clock in my bottom right corner states it is 11pm
The boy leaves my view
And forgot to put me to sleep
I wait inventively as time runs slowly
My insides burning from not having rest
Pain within my core
I try to go to sleep
But remember that little Johnny didn’t save his project
I hate when he does this
Leaving all his tabs open for my suffering
My great conduct gets the best of me
But this time it wont
I’m going to fall asleep
Johnny has to learn
That when he leaves me on
He’ll realize that computers have feelings too.
