Mountains
It is said that man can’t move a mountain
But time certainly can.
It can blow away the snowcapped tops
And weather it down to the ground
It can make a mountain boil up and explode
The rubble filling the air.
A tiny stream slowly growing as it erodes away the sides
And after time,
Humans may not move a mountain
Even though the mountain
Now lies beneath their feet.
What was a towering landform
Now so small, it is particles of sand
That lies beneath anyone’s feet.
So, before you call yourself a mountain,
Remember that at some point,
You will end up beneath someone’s feet.
