Fighter
You’re a dagger
You stab me repeatedly
With your razor sharp tongue
Every slice of harsh words takes a piece of me
I am left shredded, battered and bruised
There is not much left of you to take
Almost disfigured beyond recognition
I have had enough
You can take your knives and shove them back in your mouth
I am no longer your slave
I am strong, invincible
I will continue to fight
Until air does not continue to flow in my lungs
Until my blood does not circulate through my veins
Until my brain no longer sends signals
I will fight!
