The Black Hole: My Encounter of Growing Blindess
It never crossed my mind,
You never think it could happen to you, waking up one morning and realizing apart of you is gone,
Color that once filled a now empty crevasse in which light cannot penetrate,
You feel like you are missing part of the world,
A bright summer day haunted by this turning point of life,
Slowly, the small hole grows larger and larger,
You wonder if it will completely cover the window you look the world through,
You fear complete darkness will come over you and just the memory of a blue sky or green grass is what’s left.
It never crossed my mind,
Until it actually happened.
