Nightmares
The nightmares are real
They're not in my head.
They don't live in the closet
or under the bed.
The nightmares are real,
They come during the day.
You think you'll grow up
but they always stay.
The nightmares are real,
They go bump in the night.
They hide in your mind
and keep out of sight.
The nightmares are real,
They poke and they prod.
They stick me with needles,
trying to find why I'm odd.
The nightmares are real,
they locked me in this cell.
They won't let me out,
not 'till I'm "well".
The nightmares are real,
the voices, they shout.
I can't let them in,
but I can't keep them out.
The nightmares are real,
there's writing on the wall.
They're strapping me in,
I feel like I'll fall......
.....Down the rabbit hole.....
I can't do it again.
Alice, they once called me,
to say my name is sin.
