The trees are splatters of color
Their vibrant arms intertwining across
The golden sky,
Covering the cobblestone paths.

Sunlight shafts through the branches
Making spotlights on the stage
Of melting snow and poking buds.
Even the lurking shadows seem bright
On the road to spring.

Creeks flow fresh with crystal water
Nourishing the Earth
And carrying winter away.

Blades of grass
Each one laced with diamond dew drops
They twinkle like the stars
Just before the crack of dawn.

The flower petals fall to the ground
Dancing like last winter’s snowflakes
The ground is a blanket of blossoms
Gently covering the path.

The sky is painted gold
In broad brush strokes
And the sun will rise.

Spring is made of promises
Of growing voices
And blooming flowers
And bursting hearts.

The world will remember to love
As the wind blows in
The aroma of
Cherry blossoms.

The sky is painted gold-
The sun will rise
And color our hearts summer.

I'm just happy that winter has finally ended. I think everyone's ready for spring now, and in my excitement to see the world brighten up I wrote a poem!
