Images and Words
The estrange widow saw a flowered peace lily's fallen pot
briefly wondering, to leave the ceramic prize to rot
She ascends the rusted spiral staircase, to grudgingly revisit
an estranged landscape, a solemn guardian, feline misfit
Majestic pa(re)nth(etical)r view,
writhing, wrapping, roping ivy grew;
the undergrowth no longer under, cracking resolve and integrity of cement
a fragile world now torn asunder,
the widow screams at the misplaced convent
Fatal tragedy, untimely end
senseless hopelessness the widow fends
cement jungle, in the street
society's end the world did meet.
