The White Room
The room where someone takes their last breath,
The room where someone finally cracks,
May it be because of pressure or sanity?
We’ll never know.
So many people have died here,
Yet so many have survived.
The aching of people’s hearts
And the healing of their wounds.
People finally becoming one again after a long wait
Or diminish into nothing.
Life is produced here
And taken away.
The first cry of a baby
And the weeping of a new widow.
The white room can bring
Joy or despair
Tears or laughter.
The white room is the beginning and the end.
