Rolling the dice
I gave you a chance
And you threw it away like it was trash
I gave you another
And you blew it once more
You expect me to give you more and more?
I don’t think so.
My heart was broken
But over time it healed.
But even after that
You’re not welcome in my life again.
You said that you loved me
But your actions showed otherwise
And now that you proved me wrong for thinking you still loved me
Here’s what I have to say to you…
I don’t even know who you are.
I never did now that I look back at the times you came and left
You were just a face I would always hope to come back
You said that you loved me, but it never showed.
I cried at nights to sleep wishing for a kiss on my cheek
But in my world it’s like a fairytale you see…
Anyone can say “I love you” but how do you know when it’s real?
It’s kind of hard to notice, especially after the way you made me feel
You made me feel like nobody loved me
But no matter what I still had hope…hope that you would one day come back and never leave
But after years passed I realized that you leaving was the best thing that has ever happened to me
You made me learn how to love myself without even being there,
You made me the independent person I can be,
You made into a warrior that doesn’t cry during a battle
And you made me a better person then I would have ever been if you were to stay
I thought you were my dad but now you are just a man that’s lost in my past river of tears
