Dusk to Dawn
"let me in from the cold," says he
"but i'm the one who's frozen," says she
he's the one who drowned me in cold water, thinks she
broke me so fast like ice cubes down my spine
she hasn't talked to me in months, thinks he
built an ice wall between us
'i still feel the tips of your cold fingers on the inside of my thigh,' whispers she
he doesn't hear.
'i still feel your cold, pink nose on my lips,' whispers he
she pretends to hear.
"i want your warm chest on my cheek," says she
"i miss your warm, sleepy murmurs in the morning," says she
she closes her eyes
he isn't even here
he opens his eyes
i wish she were here
