Tsunami Tides
I feel as if I'm drowning.
As if the monstrous waves
Have finally succeeded in dragging me
Down down down
Into the unexplored abyss.
My eyes ache
From straining to see nothing,
My lungs are on fire
Trying to keep me breathing
My arms are leaden weights
Desperately trying
To keep me from sinking further
Down down down
And rather than me
Meeting the monster,
It's reaching
Up up up
To ensnare me
With its razor-sharp teeth
