A Worn Path
I followed a path very old and worn,
That was obviously used many times before.
Pretty soon I came upon some hearts,
Stamped into the groud by footprints like darts.
Some went on straight ahead,
While turned around saying somthing was to dread.
I followed the old path reading "tears ahead"
Then I got a call, and boy did they shed.
Finally they stopped, but I wasn't over him,
This would happen many times before my light would dim.
The same series of hearts and tears,
went on for more than five years.
Then the best thing happened to me,
You probably wonder what, but you will soon see.
When I was slightly younger that twenty,
I met the one that I would call, "Honey".
I followed that path straight to your heart,
And fell in love with you from the start.
That was the end of the path I knew,
And we began our own-made by me and you.
