Drowned by the Wind

It blows in my face
And I think “What a waste”
As I sit there and marvel about its pace
It swirls and it whirls in its great haste.
I shout to it “Stop it. You must! You’ve made it cold in this place.”
As I heave and I heave it makes no space
For the air that I need
The air that I breathed
Has been seized
By the wind
