Eyes Gazed Straight Ahead in a Twisted Manner
Eyes gazed straight ahead in a twisted manner
Mouth opens but words dissipate in the noise
One trying to scream over another, louder and louder
Opinion clash as if they were fact
Eyes gazed straight ahead in a twisted manner
As they watch someone beat down
Hand cupped over her mouth
Her scream silenced
Eyes gazed straight ahead in a twisted manner
I, I am not afraid
I will not be silenced until I am heard
I will not be told my opinion is wrong
Eyes gazed straight ahead in a twisted manner
Looking at me with pity
Thinking that I will not succeed in my fight
Thinking that it’s worthless to keep trying
Eyes gazed straight ahead in a twisted manner
Those eyes that gaze upon me in such a way
Those eyes are wrong
