Blades Hurt Less
Don't take it and burn it,
It's fragile like yours,
I may be strong to kill,
But you can break it too.
It can shine and will emit,
It struggles on this course,
This, time, that makes ill,
My heart is fragile like you.
Strength you lack much,
But beauty you drown in,
Don't take my heart and burn,
I promise it's fragile more.
It can die, it can budge,
It can feel the night sin,
I feel pain, you have learned,
That I may fight but am sore.
So this I ask of you gently,
That you clean my wounds inside,
The ones in my heart bravely,
For those hurt more than a sword slice.
Or an arrow in the arm,
For the pain in my heart,
Burns more than cuts unarmed,
This your love may go far.
