Thousands of Post-It notes stuck to one wall of my one-bedroom apartment
organizing my thoughts and prioritizing my thoughts.
Something deep in my mind must have become careless and stupid
or maybe just destructive and belligerent,
because I flicked the smoking butt of my last cigarette right at the wall.
In the confines of my cluttered coop, I sat motionless
as my plans went up in an inferno of destruction.
A tower of furious flames licked at every little thought.
The firestorm filled my nest with a choking black nimbus of smoke.
