"When you find a diamond, try to break it." ~ Prince

When I stared upon that crystal globe,
My eyes flared in the dark ambiance,
Starring upon an eminence unreachable
to me, against the greater prominence.
I walk under its light,
I fade above my fight.

Where my feet take me, against me,
My hands made what has been made,
Streets and lights forbade, my sight
Against the younger light, it laid
far from my needed aid,
Fading above my weary fight.

Whether I walked my mile twice,
And saw the hearts abiding grace,
Which I forbade my soul that broke,
The light that dimly slowly fades.
Leave my somber face,
Walk the path your fey.

Forsaken lament, I sighed, honor died
more than once again I tried,
Leaving it I bade once more,
For it to light the passion tied,
I searched heavily my soul,
The love accompany.

The author's comments:
This poem has a deep meaning, and every stanza says something important about the author and how he feels. I greatly utilized the literary element "metaphysical conceit".
