I am From
I am from the paint on the canvas
from the brush and the bright colors on it
I am from the noise you hear in an empty house
I am from the angry lighting striking a tree and the light breeze dancing with the flowers as the sun goes to sleep.
I am from the family dinners at the table that holds the secrets and the German family that gets together
from the woman that gave me life and the man who left me behind and the family of many members to come
I am from deceptions dark endless cave and truth's nest in the tree
From the guardian angel that leads out of darkness and the red fern on the grave of a baby, like the love of his family
I'm from the whispers of souls in the graveyard
From the great Grandmother who sings with the angels
from the great Grandfather who waits to see his angel once more and the old lilac bush they planted together
