Society dictates that success is granted to those who keep their heads above water,

Too many people strive to meet the bare minimum criteria and no more.
they complete what is required of them to simply get by.
So then why choose to be average, like them?
You are your own person,

with your own intentions and desires,
why waste time in a group that is nearly below sea level?

At last some small wave will rise
and submerse your scantily exposed nostrils with fiery salt water-
and as you're choking and slipping beneath the surface,
you will realize there is no one that can save you-
they're choking too.

Kick your legs and bring yourself to the surface-
and entire ocean awaits you!
Tred the current-the faster you go the more you will see!
