Quite a Shame.
I tried so hard to follow my heart.
Never Seeing.
Always Being.
It was quite a shame.
I woke up in a dark place.
Staring at all that remained.
Of my heart and of my brain.
It was quite a shame.
I saw the effects of love's dying breath.
Broken hearts.
Battle scars.
It was quite a shame.
I came to terms with fate.
Everybody has to break.
Nobody is spared from the pain.
Oh, it's still quite a shame.
