Painter
I grab my paintbrush and ready my canvas
I start to paint a picture of a sad girl
No friends, no one to talk to
No one to listen
She’s lonely
No one cares
She’s worthless
I take this out on the canvas
She wants love
She wants friends
She wants to die
I feel her pain
Her sorrow
Her want
She begins to feel the paintbrush,
It hurts her, but brings relief
The canvas is red
I set my brush down and examine my work
Her arms are red with blood
She holds a blade in her hand
She blinks,
I blink back
This girl, so sad
Is
Was
Will always be
Me
