Black and White
They say the world is black and white
What justice grants
What justice smites
No redemption
No remorse
No chance to change your sorry course
Right is right
And wrong is wrong
Law is fate’s merciless pawn
Dividing the spirit and the letter
Altruism fine
Legality better
And here we stand in the shrinking way
Twixt illicit night and lawful day
I reject their monochrome cliché
Here I stand
My world is grey.
