Dear Past
Dear Past,
do you see how far I've come?
you beat me down with big sticks,
with fake friends and dirty tricks,
you know, I chose to be lonesome.
when my heart's been broken in half,
my mind, still living in the past,
it's hard to see the good in things,
but pain brings lessons, right?
so i won't give up,
you haven't won this fight.
maybe I'm just out of luck,
but that's okay cause i've got something better,
Love.
So, dear past, I'm writing you this letter,
as a statement from the very depths of my heart,
I may not be together,
But I'll never fall apart.
