My Autumn Mind
You are the summer sunflowers
with your golden face
and your tall body.
You bury your seeds inside my ribs
and your roots strangle every breath
out of my lungs
And your leaves grow up my throat
and out of my mouth
And out of my voice.
You are the winter wind
with your frozen words
and your chilly breath
and your icicle fingers.
You bury me in the
cold, wet snow
until my eyelashes are frosted over with snowflakes.
you blow my autumn mind
You’re mine
You’re mine
You’re mine
